Moscow, Russia (Sports Network) - Italian Francesca Schiavone rolled over Ukrainian Alona Bondarenko on Saturday in the semifinals at the $1 million Kremlin Cup.
The eighth-seeded Schiavone posted a convincing 6-4, 6-0 victory to reach a final for the second consecutive week. The 2005 Moscow runner-up fell to Australian Samantha Stosur in Osaka last week, dropping her record to 1-10 in finals. Her lone triumph came at Bad Gastein in 2007.
Schiavone's opponent will be Belarus' Olga Govortsova, who defeated Russian Alisa Kleybanova 6-2, 6-1 in the other semifinal.
The 21-year-old Govortsova advanced to just her second career WTA Tour final. She was the runner-up at Memphis in 2008.
This will be the third meeting between Schiavone and Govortsova, with each combatant recording a victory.
This week's winner will claim $157,427.
