• Toronto FC waives defender Boyens

  
  

  Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Toronto FC waived defender Andrew Boyens on Monday.

  Boyens, 23, started 21 of 23 games with Toronto FC recording one goal and one assist in 1825 minutes. He was drafted in the 2007 MLS SuperDraft out of the University of New Mexico.

  "We wish Andy all the best in his future career," Toronto manager Mo Johnston said. "He's been a true professional both on and off the field for us since his arrival and we thank him for his contribution to the club."
