Biffle to stay at Roush
Loudon, NH (Sports Network) - On Friday Greg Biffle said he agreed to a three- year extension to remain at Roush Fenway Racing ending months of speculation.
"I'm extremely happy and relieved to have this contract complete," said Biffle.
"I have a team that can contend for the championship this season and for future seasons as well.
"All the elements are in place: the resources of Ford and Roush Fenway, the excellent team, the outstanding cars and having a great primary sponsor like 3M for the next few years." Biffle's seven-year Sprint Cup resume shows 12 wins, 40 top-five and 68 top-10 finishes and six poles in 202 starts. He was the 2000 Craftsman Truck Series champion, 2002 Nationwide Series champion and 2003 Sprint Cup rookie of the year. In 2005 he finished second overall, just 35 points behind Tony Stewart.
Biffle is currently seventh in points with two poles and seven top-10s.
