  • Speed's pit crew used a two-tire stop late in the race to get him track position and he drove around Todd Bodine (no tires) for the lead.

    "The truck seemed a little quicker (with just two tires)," said Speed after the race.

    Last season, Skinner broke the single-season mark for pole wins with 11, but his best start in 2008 was a pair of second-places at California and last week at Mansfield.

    Starr was doggedly holding onto a lead despite pressure from Lia and Todd Bodine when a record 15th caution flag flew with 11 laps remaining.

  • Crafton took advantage of a late-race crash to win his first career Craftsman Truck Series race. The No.88 ThorSport Racing Chevrolet driver crossed the finish line 0.184 seconds ahead of Chad McCumbee.

    Brendan Gaughan, Erik Darnell and Rick Crawford completed the top-five.

  • The victory was Setzer's first of the season and 18th of his Craftsman career.

    Setzer took the lead on lap 128 and never gave it up en route to the relatively easy victory.

  • Busch overcame an early race pit-stop penalty and beat Hornaday Jr., known as the "King of Restarts" at his own game over the final four laps. The victory was Busch's second in a row, third straight at Atlanta and eighth of his truck career.

    Mike Skinner, Matt Crafton and Chad McCumbee completed the top-five.

  • The victory was Busch's first of the season and fifth of his Craftsman Truck Series career. Last week in Florida it was Bodine that beat Busch to the checkered flag.

    "It was a great race truck," said Busch. "These guys at Billy Ballew Motorsports did an awesome job."

  • The victory was the 13th of Bodine's Craftsman Truck Series career and first at Daytona.

    "I knew he wasn't going to turn me or anything like that and if he couldn't get to the outside and have Johnny (Benson) go with him, I knew I was ok," said Bodine from Victory Lane.

  • The pole victory was the second of Darnell's truck career. His other pole was in 2006 at Nashville.

    Starting alongside Darnell will be Terry Cook, who posted a time of 51.179 seconds.

CRAFTSMAN TRUCKS

  • The fastest single-car speed was put up by Roush Fenway Racing's Erik Darnell in the No.99 Ford. Darnell, 25, posted a time of 50.407 seconds (178.547 m.p.h.). Scott Lynch, in the No.29 Dodge, and Mike Skinner, in the No.5 Toyota, were second and third quickest, respectively.

    Defending champion Ron Hornaday Jr., in the No.33 Kevin Harvick Inc. Chevrolet, was just 16th fastest.

  • It will be the third NASCAR sponsor to announce a change in the past year. Earlier this season Nextel Cup and the Busch Series announced changes to Sprint Cup and Nationwide, respectively.

    "Craftsman has been a great, longstanding partner and intends to remain in the sport," said Steve Phelps, NASCAR Chief Marketing Officer, in a joint announcement with Sears. "The current series name will continue through the 2008 season with the same great commitment Craftsman has demonstrated throughout its 13-year history."

    The No.23 Toyota crossed the finish line eight lengths ahead of Kyle Busch. The victory was Benson's fourth of the season and ninth of his Craftsman Truck Series career.
