Ji soars in women's rankings
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Eun Hee Ji picked up her first LPGA Tour win on Sunday and that helped her soar 14 spots to No.
16 in this week's women's world rankings.
Lorena Ochoa remained No. 1 and was again followed by Annika Sorenstam, Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer, Karrie Webb, Yani Tseng and Cristie Kerr.
Jeong Jang and Ji-Yai Shin exchanged places with Jang up to eighth this week. The next three - Maria Hjorth, Jee Young Lee and Seon-Hwa Lee - remained 10th through 12th this week.
Morgan Pressel jumped two places to 13th, while Momoko Ueda held steady in 14th this week. Juli Inkster fell two to 15 and she was followed by Ji.
Mi Hyun Kim, Sakura Yokomine, Stacy Prammanasudh, Se Ri Pak, Angela Stanford, Catriona Matthew and Sophie Gustafson all fell one place apiece with Pak rounding out the top 20 this week and Stanford falling to 21st.
