Tseng moves to No. 6 in world rankings
Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - Yani Tseng became the second-youngest women's major winner on Sunday by taking down Maria Hjorth on the fourth playoff hole of the McDonald's LPGA Championship. The win helped her soar 19 places to No. 6 in the world rankings.
The top five remained unchanged with Lorena Ochoa again followed by Annika Sorenstam, Suzann Pettersen, Paula Creamer and Karrie Webb.
Tseng was trailed by Cristie Kerr, who held steady at No. 7 this week, and Ji- Yai Shin, who slipped two places to eighth. Jeong Jang dipped one to ninth, while Hjorth jumped six spots to 10th.
Jee Young Lee fell two to 11th, Seon-Hwa Lee dipped a spot to 12th and Juli Inkster tumbled three spaces to No. 13 this week.
Morgan Pressel remained 14th this week, while Momoko Ueda dropped three to 15th and Mi Hyun Kim was down one to 16.
Sakura Yokomine and Stacy Prammanasudh traded places with Yokomine up to 17th. Se Ri Pak plummeted six positions to 19th, while Angela Stanford was down on to 20th this week. Last week's No. 20, Catriona Matthew, slid one to 21st.
