• Ochoa wins third straight, qualifies for Hall of Fame

  
  

  Morelia, Mexico (Sports Network) - Lorena Ochoa romped to a record-breaking win Sunday at the Corona Championship and in doing so became the second- youngest women to ever qualify for the Hall of Fame.

  Ochoa closed with a four-under 69 to finish her 11-shot rout at 25-under-par 267.

  The win was her third straight and fourth in five starts this year. She has collected 18 titles in the last 24 months and 21 for her career. With the win, she has accumulated enough points to qualify for the Hall of Fame.

  However, she cannot be inducted into the Hall until she has played 10 years on tour. That will come during the 2012 season.

  Karrie Webb was the youngest to qualify for the Hall of Fame. She was 25 when she earned enough points to qualify.

  Along with those accomplishments, Ochoa also smashed the 72-hole scoring record with her 267 total. She shared the old record of 272 with last year's winner, Silvia Cavalleri.

  Song-Hee Kim closed with a one-under 72 at Tres Marias Residential Golf Club to end alone in second at 14-under-par 278. Karine Icher (72) and Inbee Park (74) finished one shot further back at minus-13.
