He will go for his second Champions Tour win on Sunday.

"I played really good for most of the round," said Goodes, who had a stellar amateur career before turning professional at the age of 50. "It was a bad bogey on No. 8, but I made solid pars from then on and birdied 14. I'd like to have shot a better round, but I'm satisfied with 69." The last player to open qualify for an event an go on to win was Pete Oakley at the 2004 Senior British Open.
Bean dropped back into a share of the lead with a bogey on the 17th.
However, he closed with a 15-foot birdie putt at the last to grab the fourth 36-hole lead of his Champions Tour career.
He has won one of the previous three events.
"It was a steady round overall," admitted Bean. "However, I didn't play the wind right on 17. A few mistakes, but overall I'm putting well. That takes care of a lot of things."
