• Bengals re-sign QB Fitzpatrick

  
  

  Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Bengals have re-signed restricted free agent quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick to a one-year contract, the team announced Thursday.

  Fitzpatrick was acquired from the St. Louis Rams in September and spent the 2007 season as Carson Palmer's backup, but did not attempt a pass.

  The Harvard product has played in six games -- three starts -- in three NFL seasons with the Rams and Bengals, and has completed 76-of-135 passes for 777 yards with four touchdowns and eight interceptions. He has not attempted a pass since the 2005 season.
