  • Chiefs agree to terms with KR Sams

Kansas City, MO (Sports Network) - The Kansas City Chiefs have agreed to terms of a one-year contract with kick returner B.J. Sams, who spent the past four seasons with the Baltimore Ravens.

Sams played in 43 games with the Ravens, starting one game at cornerback, but last year suffered a season-ending knee injury in the opener.

The McNeese State product has averaged 22.9 yards on 138 kickoff returns and 10.9 yards on 121 punt returns in his career. He has returned two punts for touchdowns -- one coming against Kansas City in 2004.

In addition, the Chiefs also agreed to a two-year contract with fullback Chris Manderino, who spent the 2007 campaign on Cincinnati's practice squad.
