    • Hamilton eliminates Winnipeg from playoff contention

Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - Kevin Glenn finished with 316 yards and a touchdown on 28-of-42 passing and also ran for a score, as Hamilton downed Winnipeg, 39-17, at Canad Inns Stadium.

Jeremy Ito converted three field goals for the Tiger-Cats (9-9), who wrapped up second place in the East and will host the B.C. Lions in the semifinal crossover.

Arland Bruce notched five catches for 65 yards and a touchdown while Markeith Knowlton and Jykine Bradley each returned a pick for a score.

MichaelBishop was limited to 122 yards passing, one score and two interceptions on 8-of-22 completions for the Blue Bombers (7-11), who were eliminated from the playoff hunt despite finishing third in the East because B.C. has a better record as the fourth-place club in the West.

Titus Ryan added a 60-yard TD reception in defeat.

Ito's 34-yard field goal was the lone score of the third quarter and pushed Hamilton ahead by 20-16, and Bombers punter Troy Westwood's safety concession gave the Ticats a six-point edge early in the fourth.

Knowlton's 35-yard interception return for a score virtually wrapped up the game for the visitors at 29-16 with a little more than six minutes remaining.

A single from Westwood followed, but Ito drilled a 29-yarder for a 32-17 contest and Bishop was picked off by Bradley, who raced 50 yards for another touchdown to ice the game.

Hamilton struck first as Glenn scored on a 16-yard run that was ruled a TD after video review, but Winnipeg responded on Ryan's 60-yard TD catch on the next series.

Lenny Walls picked off Glenn and returned the ball 58 yards to put the Bombers ahead, then Glenn and Bruce connected for a 25-yard score early in the second for a 14-all tie.

Two singles by Winnipeg preceded a 24-yard field goal from Ito, and the Ticats led by one at the half.

Game Notes Hamilton's last home playoff game came in 2001 against Montreal...Winnipeg has not missed the playoffs since 2005.
