  • Blue Bombers ink QB Glenn to extension

Winnipeg, MB (Sports Network) - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers signed quarterback Kevin Glenn to a contract extension on Thursday. Per team policy, terms were not disclosed.

"Kevin Glenn emerged as on of the CFL's elite quarterbacks this past season and we are delighted that he will be a fixture of this team for some time to come," said Winnipeg general manager Brendan Taman.

Glenn led the CFL with 5,114 passing yards, pass completions (388) and pass attempts (621) in 2007. He threw 25 touchdown passes on the year, which saw the Bombers win two playoff games and earn a berth in the Grey Cup final.

His stellar campaign was halted when he broke his left arm in the Bombers' 19-9 win over Toronto in the East Division final.

The Illinois State product is entering his eighth CFL season. Glenn began his career with the Roughriders (2001-03), moved on to the Argonauts, and came to Winnipeg in 2005.
