• Naito retains title with draw

  
  

  Tokyo, Japan (Sports Network) - Daisuke Naito of Japan retained his WBC flyweight title Saturday with a draw against Thailand's Pongsaklek Wonjongkam.

  One judge scored the 12-round bout 115-113 in favor of Naito and another scored it 115-114 for Wonjongkam, but a third had it 114-114.

  Naito now has a record of 32-2-3, with his only losses coming against Wonjongkam, the former champ who now owns a mark of 67-3-1.

  It was the fourth meeting between the two. Wonjongkam won the first with a knockout just 34 seconds into the bout in April 2002 and he took the second in October 2005.

  The two also fought last July, with Naito scoring a unanimous decision.
