Detroit F Prince has playing streak snapped
Auburn Hills, MI (Sports Network) - Detroit Pistons forward Tayshaun Prince sat out Tuesday's game against the Orlando Magic due to a strained lower back.
Prince, who came into Tuesday with the second-longest active streak of games played at 496, had played in every Pistons regular season and playoff game over the last four seasons.
Prince, who had started 439 straight contests, will be out for at least three games.
He averaged 14.2 points, a career-high 5.8 rebounds and 3.1 assists in a career-high 37.3 minutes per game during the 2008-09 campaign.
Detroit's Richard Hamilton sat out his third consecutive contest Tuesday night due to a sprained right ankle. He needs one point to become only the seventh player in Pistons history to score 10,000 points.
